Pre-Requisites:

• Ensure to charge your phone to at least 50%.

• To recognize your phone when connected to a PC, install the latest Realme, mobile USB drivers. Refer our guide:

1. Download Realme 5 Pro USB Drivers.

• Before flashing TWRP recovery, you must unlock the bootloader of your Android phone.

1. How to Unlock Bootloader of Realme 5 Pro.

• Backup contacts, apps, accounts, messages, call logs, and notes etc. for safety.

Steps to install TWRP Recovery on Realme 5 Pro:

Step 1: Launch Settings.

Step 2: Then tap on the About Phone section.

Step 3: Then click on the Version 7 times to unlock developer mode.

Click on it until a message saying, ”You are now a developer” appears.

Step 4: Go back and open Additional Settings.

Step 5: Now scroll down and open Developer options.

Step 6: Again scroll down and enable the USB debugging option.

Step 7: Download ADB and Fastboot drivers.

Step 8: Install the downloaded ADB setup file on your PC.

Step 9: Download TWRP.img.

Step 10: Copy this TWRP.img file to the location C:\Program Files\Minimal ADB and Fastboot folder (where you’ve installed the ADB and fastboot).

So you’ll have these files in the ADB folder:

Step 11: Then connect your mobile to computer.

Step 12: Go to the location C:\Program Files\Minimal ADB and Fastboot folder, hold the Shift button, and right mouse click on a space. You’ll see a list of options from which select the Open command window here option. This will open the cmd window on your computer.

Step 13: Type the below command in the cmd window and press the enter key:

adb devices

As soon as you hit enter, a message saying ‘List of devices attached’ will appear. This will confirm a successful connection between your Realme 5 Pro and PC.

Note: If such a thing does not happen, then re-install mobile USB drivers from the Pre-requisites section.

Step 14: Enter the below command and hit enter:

adb reboot bootloader

This will reboot Realme 5 Pro into fastboot mode as shown below.

Step 15: To confirm whether fastboot is functional or not, enter the following command:

fastboot devices

Some random numbers along with the ‘List of devices attached’ message will verify that fastboot is functional.

Step 16: Let’s start the Realme 5 Pro TWRP recovery flashing process now. For that, enter the below command:

fastboot flash recovery twrp.img

As soon as you hit the enter key, the TWRP recovery will be flashed on your Realme 5 Pro RMX1971 smartphone.

Steps to Boot Realme 5 Pro into TWRP recovery mode:

Step 1: Switch off your Realme smartphone.

Step 2: Press and hold Volume down + Power button simultaneously until fastboot mode appears. Leave both the keys now.

Step 3: Just press the Volume keys until you see the Recovery mode option at the top.

Step 4: Now press the Power button to start the recovery mode.
