Pre-Requisites
- Charge your phone is at least 50% to avoid any interruption.
- Backup your contacts, messages, apps, call logs, notes etc. as everything gets wiped out in the last step of this flashing process.

Steps to Install LineageOS 16 ROM on Realme X
Step 1: Go to mobile Settings.
Step 2: Click on About Phone.
Step 3: Then, click on the Version 7 times to unlock the developer mode.
Click on it until a message saying, ”You are now a developer” appears as shown below.
Step 4: Go back and launch Additional Settings.
Step 5: Scroll down and open Developer options.
Step 6: On the next page, enable the USB debugging option.
Step 7: Download LineageOS 16.
Step 8: Also download GApps.
Note: Do not extract these zip files.
Step 9: Copy both the downloaded zip files on your mobile.
Step 10: Switch off your mobile and boot it into TWRP recovery.
Step 11: For doing that, press and hold the Volume down + Power button simultaneously until TWRP recovery mode appears. Leave both the keys now.
Note: If you are not able to boot into recovery, use the TWRP Manager app from Google Play Store.
As soon as you boot into TWRP, the first thing you need to do is to take Nandroid backup. This is the backup of your entire Android OS.
Step 12: In TWRP recovery, click on the Wipe option.
Step 13: On the next page, swipe right to start the factory reset process.
Note: This step will wipe your complete phone data and settings. Hence ensure to take before doing this step.
Step 14: Go back and again click on the Wipe option.
Step 15: On the next page, click on Advanced Wipe.
Step 16: Then tick Dalvik/ART cache, System, Data, and cache partitions.
Note: Do not tick the Internal Storage or any other partitions.
Step 17: Swipe right to initiate the partition wiping process.

Step 18: To do so, simply click on the Install option.
All your files and folders will be visible to you now.
