Pre-Requisites:
- Ensure to charge your phone to at least 60%.
- This process will delete your entire phone data. Hence take backup before moving ahead.
- To recognize your phone on the PC, install the latest USB drivers.
- Moreover, enable USB debugging mode from settings.
- Also, enable OEM unlocking and Advance reboot mode from Developer options.
- (Optional) Temporarily disable antivirus and firewall on your PC.

Steps to Unlock Bootloader of OnePlus 7:
Step 1: Download ADB drivers.
Step 2: Install these drivers on PC.
Step 3: Connect your phone to PC using a USB cable.
Step 4: On PC, go to C:\Program Files\Minimal ADB and Fastboot folder (where you’ve installed the ADB and fastboot). Then hold the shift button of your keyboard and right-click on space. From the list of options, select the Open command window here option. This will launch the cmd window.
Note: If the below message shows on your phone, tap OK.
Step 5: In the cmd window, enter the following command and press the enter key:
adb devices
This command will confirm whether your phone is successfully connected to the PC or not.
Note: If such a thing doesn’t happen then again install OnePlus USB drivers. If the problem persists, change the USB cable or port.
Step 6: Type the following command now:
adb reboot bootloader
This will restart your OnePlus 7 into fastboot mode as shown below:
Step 7: Then type the following command:
fastboot devices
This command will again confirm a successful connection with some random numbers.
Step 8: Let’s start the bootloader unlock OnePlus 7 process now. So, enter the following command:
fastboot oem unlock
As soon as you press enter, the bootloader unlocking process will start.
The following message will appear on your phone screen.
Note: On this screen, use Volume keys for navigation and Power key for selection.
Step 9: So using Volume keys navigate to Unlock the Bootloader option and select it by Power key.
This will begin the OnePlus 7 unlock bootloader process.
Note: This step will delete entire phone data and settings. So take backup before this step.
As soon as the process completes, your OnePlus 7 will automatically restart.
