Pre-Requisites:
- Charge your phone to at least 50% before going ahead.
- Take backup of your contacts, apps, messages, accounts, etc. for safety.
- Install the latest Realme USB drivers on PC.
- (Optional) Temporarily disable antivirus and firewall on your PC.
Steps to enable USB Debugging & OEM unlock:
Step 1: Open Settings.
Step 2: Then open About Phone.
Step 3: Here, click 7 times on the Version info to unlock developer mode.
Tap on the Version until a message saying, ”You are now a developer” appears.
Note: This will enable hidden developers options in your phone settings.
Step 4: Next, go back and open Additional Settings.
Step 5: Furthermore, scroll down and open Developer options.
Step 6: On the next screen, enable the OEM Unlocking option.
Step 7: Further scroll down and enable the USB debugging option.
Steps to Unlock Bootloader of Realme 3:
Step 8: Download the In-Depth Test app.
Step 9: Install this app on your mobile.
Step 10: Launch the app and click on the Start applying option.
A disclaimer will appear on your phone screen as follows.
Step 11: Read the disclaimer carefully, tick the checkbox, and click on the Submit application option.
This will submit your application to the Realme servers.
Note: It will take approximately 1 hour to get the status of the submitted application. So be patient and wait.
After approximately 1 hour, the In-depth test app will show Review successful message as follows.
Step 12: Tap on Start the in-depth test option.
This will reboot Realme 3 into Fastboot mode automatically.
Note: The following string will also appear on the screen: fast boot_unlock_verify ok
Step 13: Download the ADB setup.
Step 14: Install the downloaded ADB drivers on your PC.
Step 15: Then connect your phone to PC using USB cable.
Step 16: On PC, go to C:\Program Files\Minimal ADB and Fastboot folder (where you’ve installed the ADB and Fastboot). Then by holding the shift button of your keyboard, right-click on space. From the list, choose the Open command window here option. This will open the command prompt window as follows.
Step 17: In cmd, type the following command and press enter:
fastboot devices
Some random numbers will show up in the window. This will confirm that your Realme 3 is successfully connected to PC.
Note: If such a thing doesn’t happen then re-install Realme USB drivers. If the problem persists, change USB cable or USB port.
Step 18: Let’s start the Realme 3 bootloader unlock process. To do so, enter the following command:
fastboot flashing unlock
Note: For Windows 10, type the below command and press enter key:
./fastboot flashing unlock “
As soon as you press enter key, the Realme 3 unlock bootloader process will begin.
Furthermore, a message will appear on your phone as follow.
Note: Here, use Volume keys for navigation and Power key for selection.
Step 19: Hence using Volume keys navigate to Unlock the Bootloader option and select it using Power key.
This will start the Realme 3 bootloader unlock process.
Note: This step will delete your phone data. Hence make backup before doing this step.
After the process finishes, your mobile will automatically restart itself.
