Pre-Requisites:
- Charge your phone to at least 50% to avoid interruption.
- Backup your contacts, apps, messages, call logs, notes, etc. for safety.
- Install latest Realme USB drivers on PC to detect your phone.
- (Optional) Temporarily disable antivirus and firewall on your computer.
Steps to Unlock Bootloader of Realme 5 Pro:
Step 1: Open Settings.
Step 2: Then open About Phone.
Step 3: Under About Phone, click on Version 7 times to unlock developer mode. It’ll show you a countdown message saying, “You’re 4,3,2,1 steps away from being a Developer”.
Tap on it until a message saying, ”You are now a developer” appears.
Note: This will enable the hidden developer’s option in your settings.
Step 4: Go back to Settings and open Additional Settings.
Step 5: On the next screen, scroll down and click on Developer options.
Step 6: Next, enable OEM Unlocking option.
Step 7: Also enable the USB debugging option.
Step 8: Download In-Depth Test apk.
Step 9: Install this app on your Realme 5 Pro.
Step 10: Launch the app.
Step 11: From the app’s main menu, click on the Start applying option.
On the next screen, a disclaimer will appear.
Step 12: Read the disclaimer, select the checkbox, and submit the application.
Your application will now be submitted to the Realme servers.
Note: It will take 1 hour approximately to get the status of the submitted application.
After 1 hour, the In-depth test app will show Review successful message.
Step 13: Now click on Start the in-depth test option.
This will restart your Realme 5 Pro into Fastboot mode as shown below:

Step 14: Download ADB setup.
Step 15: Install the downloaded ADB and fastboot drivers on your PC.
Step 16: Keeping your device into Fastboot mode, connect it to the computer via USB cable.
Step 17: On PC, go to the location C:\Program Files\Minimal ADB and Fastboot folder (where you’ve installed the ADB and fastboot). Then by holding the shift button of your keyboard, right-click on space. From the list, choose the Open command window here option. This will launch the command prompt window as shown below:
Step 18: In the cmd window, type the following command and press the enter key:
fastboot devices
As soon as you press enter, some random numbers will appear. This will confirm that your Realme 5 Pro is successfully connected to the PC.
Note: If such a thing doesn’t happen then re-install USB drivers from the Pre-requisites section. If the problem persists, change the USB cable or port.
Step 19: Let’s begin the Realme 5 Pro bootloader unlock process now. For that, type the following command and press enter:
fastboot flashing unlock
Note: Especially for Windows 10, type the following command and hit enter:
./fastboot flashing unlock ”
As soon as you press enter, the Realme 5 Pro bootloader unlocking process will begin.

Note: On this screen, use Volume keys for navigation and Power key for selection.
Step 20: So using Volume keys navigate to Unlock the Bootloader option and select it using the Power key.
This will start the actual Realme 5 Pro bootloader unlocking process. It will hardly last for few minutes.
Note: This step will wipe out complete data. Hence make sure to backup everything before doing this step.
